REGARDING the James Bank Hostel, history is repeating itself, I feel. I was homeless 15 years ago and had a room in Bute Crescent homeless unit.

COUNCILLOR Sullivan is right about the James Bank hostel (Press, 14th August). As a town-centre resident, I know all he said is true; if anything, he tactfully underplays things.

Post Office consultation was a sham
AS circumstances prevented my attendance at the consultation meeting organised by Willie Rennie, I wrote to the Post Office, in the strongest possible terms, outlining all the difficulties and disadvantages the closure of Transy Post Office would entail, not only for residents in the immediate vicinity but in Dunfermline at large.

Costly repairs should be no surprise
YOUR anonymous contributor (Press, 7th August) highlighted the costly repairs that need to be made to Dunfermline’s new bus station and to the exit route via Chapel Street. We should not be surprised at any of this.

Dunfermline isn't a city. It's a 'dark, disgusting hole'
I AM writing this as a Dunfermliner who has moved away from the so-called “city” to a properly recognised city. I implore you to stop calling it a city. It’s embarrassing to hear Dunfermline referred to in this way as it is far from a city.
