HAPPY COUPLE ... and no wonder after their £1.5m win

THERE"S been a whole Lotto love going around in the past week for one West Fife man, who has scooped nearly £1.5 million in the lottery after tying the knot.

Dunfermline-born Martin Adamson (29) married student teacher Hannah (22) on 4th May – and the newlyweds discovered just six days later that their perfect match of lottery numbers had won them £1,477,059.

Martin, a Royal Navy weapons engineer, has played the lottery with the same numbers – made up of important family dates – since it started, but recently changed the selection to include his wedding date.

And now the lucky couple, who are expecting their first child in November, will start married life for richer, not poorer, after the numbers – 4, 14, 18, 24, 32 and 40 – came up on Saturday night.

Martin and Hannah, who are based in Plymouth, had to postpone their honeymoon because he had to attend a course, but now plan to celebrate with a romantic trip to Las Vegas and Hawaii.

They had also feared they would have to move out of their own house and move into Navy quarters in Plymouth when the baby was born, but will now be able to afford their dream home.

Martin said, 'I saw the numbers come up on the TV. I thought they looked familiar but went to check them online.

'I called up to Hannah who was in the bath at the time. She didn"t believe me when I said we"d won the jackpot.

'Winning the lottery has been the perfect end to a dream week. We got married, we"re looking forward to the birth of our first child and now we can buy a house and have a honeymoon too!'

The couple toasted their win in a Plymouth hotel.
