Motorists braced for more Dunfermline roadworks as Woodmill roundabout repairs get under way
REPAIRS, resurfacing and relining of the mini-roundabout at the junction of Woodmill Road and Linburn Road, Dunfermline, will get under way on Monday.
The work is set to last five days and, as it includes a road closure, has been planned to coincide with the school holidays. Thereafter, temporary traffic signals will be in place for several days until the work is complete.
The junction will re-open for the evening of Wednesday 16th July only to accommodate football traffic - Dunfermline Athletic play Hearts at East End Park that night.
Traffic going north or south on Linburn Road will be diverted via Trondheim Parkway, Greenshank Drive, Dunlin Drive (or vice versa). Traffic going from Woodmill Road to Linburn Road (northbound) or the reverse will be diverted via Garvock Bank, Halbeath Drive, Halbeath Road (or vice versa).
And for traffic going from Woodmill Road to Linburn Road (southbound) or the reverse will be diverted via Sheilds Road, Allan Crescent, Trondheim Parkway (or vice versa).
The Wood Mill will remain open for business, with access from Woodmill Road only, and bus operators Stagecoach will be amending their services and timetables as necessary.
