THE MYSTERY of the ghost of Blairadam Woods has deepened after the scene of a photograph published in the Press in recent weeks was probed by a team of paranormal investigators.

But more questions than answers arose when Full Moon Investigations went to the spot where Rosyth man John Wilson"s snap appeared to show the ghost of an old miner standing behind his family.

Ewan Irvine, medium and co-founder of Full Moon Investigations, told how the group attempted to recreate the photograph using investigator Scott Drinkel and his family.

He explained, 'I also took my dog along and she did not wish to go into that area at all, although she was very happy to go into other areas, even 20 to 30 yards away. We tried this again later and it was still the same reaction. She pulled on the lead both times.'

Ewan did find himself drawn to another area of the woods around 300 yards away. There is a track that leads to a wooden bridge where Ewan claims he felt as if something had happened and warrants further investigation.

The team members also believe they may have a name relating to the ghost. When returning to his car after the investigation Ewan did hear the name of John being shouted followed by the possible surname of Main, although after discussion he and Scott admitted it could have been the word mine.

'Either way,' said Ewan, 'I am looking for a John Main or the person is John at the mine.'

The group is determined to return to the spot for further investigation.

Ewan stated, 'We will be going back as it is throwing up more questions than answers and I want to spend time there to see if I can pick up mediumistically more information.'
