But this Fife Ferrero Rocher fanatic put decorum to one side to smash a toothsome world record...and here's the video he claims is proof of his feat.

Chris McKiddie (28), from Wormit, scoffed NINE of the sweets after reading in the Press last month about Dunfermline man James Boyd's claim to have ate six to match the current world record.

The media analyst astounded colleagues who filmed the event at his work in Glasgow, on Wednesday (12th) morning.

The most Ferrero Rocher chocolates eaten in one minute is six, set by Shaun Slator on the set of The Paul O'Grady Show, on 30 April 2008.

It has since been equalled three times.

However, chocoholic Chris may want to look up the rule book Ð all of the 'Rocher must be wrapped when the clock starts.
