WEST FIFE motor racing stalwart Ian Forrest was presented with the Sir Jackie Stewart medal for services to motorsport in Scotland at the recent Scottish Motor Racing Club’s annual dinner.

The 56-year-old, who has enjoyed a motorsport career spanning almost four decades, competed in a couple of races this year and is operations manager at Knockhill racing circuit.

Ian, from Crossford, said, “I was almost speechless and after many successful years in the sport I cannot imagine ever receiving a higher award than this, it’s really special to me.

“As Sir Jackie was unable to attend the proceedings I sent a personal thank you to him the next day to let him know how much I appreciated this very special award.”
