CELEBRITY chef and TV presenter Nick Nairn will cast aside his familiar kitchen whites and tartan trews in favour of a flameproof racing suit when he gets involved in the red hot action of racing a Mini Cooper at Knockhill Racing Circuit on Sunday.

The popular race track, in conjunction with the Scottish Motor Racing Club, invited the car enthusiast to join in the thrills of racing in the closely fought Smartycars.com Scottish Mini Cooper Cup and Scotland’s best known TV chef jumped at the chance to be involved.

The meeting is the penultimate round of the Scottish Championships and an action-packed day of racing starts at 10am.

Apart from Nick’s two Mini Cooper races there are rounds of Scottish Classic Sports and Saloon cars, American Legend races, the Scottish Fiesta XR2 Championship, Scottish Formula Ford 1600 Championship and Scottish Saloon and Sportscar Championship.
