Bamba bust-up
STAR defender Sol Bamba was involved in a dramatic Pars bust-up in the tunnel after Tuesday’s 1-0 Challenge Cup semi-final win over Ayr.
However, rumours that Bamba clashed with Athletic’s sports scientist Colm O’Neill over an injury are wide of the mark.
Boss Stephen Kenny admitted Bamba did have a clash in the tunnel but not with O’Neill or anyone from Ayr.
Kenny said, “He did have a disagreement with someone but it was just an argument.”
Bamba left the field altogether happier after his starring show in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Partick.
He admitted his champagne collection was expanding by the week after he received what he reckoned was his fourth official man of the match award on Saturday.
But there’s a slight problem – he doesn’t drink a drop.
The 22-year-old spoke to Press Sport after the match while holding his new bottle of champagne.
He laughed, “I have got a lot (of champagne). It’s just collection because I never drink, I keep it in my fridge. Sometimes I drink at Christmas.”
