Try, try, try again for McKane Park side

Livingston 34-59 Dunfermline

DUNFERMLINE moved up to fourth place in the league after a nine try victory over Livingston, a side they somehow drew with earlier in the season.

The home side, desperate for a win to ease their relegation worries, started well and put Dunfermline under early pressure but good defence kept them out. Unfortunately these defensive qualities were not to be shown throughout the match, and Livingston broke through with some weak tackling allowing them to score easily. This sprung Dunfermline into action and three quick tries by Warren Daly, Stevie McColl and Sky Laurie, 2 converted by Ali O'Connor, knocked the stuffing out of the home side. But more weak tackling allowed Livingston two easy tries, and in an end to end match, Dunfermline responded and notched up their bonus point try through full back McColl.

Dunfermline continued their terrific attacking after the break with O'Connor strolling over for a try which he converted. Once again Livingston responded, this time with three tries of their own, two of which were converted. Dunfermline retaliated and were rewarded with two tries for Dan Fluker, one for Wayne Barr and a second for Laurie.

Dunfermline will be attempting to stay fourth in their final away game against local rivals Kirkcaldy.
