THE opening round of the Scottish Motorcycle Racing Championship provided a dramatic day of dices at Knockhill on Sunday.

With 14 action-packed races on the card, spectators eager to witness the sort of close racing regularly served up at the track were not disappointed.

One of the highlights of the day was the breathtaking 12-lap race in the Supersport 600 class, with the eventual outcome at the chequered flag seeing Fifer John MacDonald, from Auchtertool (Digby Brown Triumph 675), taking a well-deserved win from Perth’s Lewis Farrow, aboard his Yamaha R6.
