Champions retain their titles at Dunfermline's Auld Toun 10K

MURRAY Strain and Ros Alexander retained their titles last night (Wednesday) at the Auld Toun 10k race in Dunfermline.
Strain recorded a time of 31.59, beating a field of 280 runners competing in the 22nd annual race. His time was also a new course record.
Alexander triumphed in the ladies’ section with a time of 39.10. This was her fourth win at the race, having previously triumphed in 2004, 2005 and 2007.
Winner of the M40 was Steve Cairns in a time of 32.36 and Ian Johnston won the M50 award in 38.37.
Jane Aitchison, from San Diego, California, won the F35 award with a time of 42.39 and Pauline Walker took the F45 on 44.25.
