PITREAVIE athletes helped Kingdom Athletic to a fourth place finish in their latest National Junior League Northern Premier Division Match in Gateshead with seven A string victories, one B string victory, a Scottish under-20 record, one league record and eight team records.

In the hammer, Caitlyn Mackie’s throw of 49.57m saw her achieve the standard for this year’s Commonwealth Youth Games in India.

Nicola Campbell, Courtney Wilkinson and Jenny Tan joined Eilish McColgan in winning the 4x400m relay.

Wilkinson was in her best form ever in the jumps, where she recorded a personal best and team record in the A long jump with 5m to place fifth and repeated this in the A high jump with 1.55m where she finished third.

She also recorded a personal best in the B triple jump with 9.95m for second. Lucy Crookston broke the pole vault team record with a vault of 2.30m to place 3rd in the A string event.

In the men’s competition Ryan Oswald broke two of his longer standing team records with 10.87s to come second in the 100m A string and went one better winning the 200m A in 21.68.

The men's 4x100m quartet of Bob Mitchell, Chris Lavery, Connor Hill and Ryan Oswald were reunited for the first time this season and showed they’re still the top quartet over the relay, winning the race in a time of 43.6.

In the 800m Tom Fleming won the B race with 2:02.60 while in the hammer Ross McManus threw 42.99m for third in the A string event.
