Pars face Jags in opener
THE Pars kick-off their assault on the First Division title with a trip to Partick Thistle in the curtain-raiser on Saturday 2nd August.
The season actually starts on 26th July with a home tie against Stirling Albion in the Challenge Cup and last season’s Scottish Cup finalists are the first visitors to East End Park.
Queen of the South is followed by a trip to Perth to play St Johnstone on 16th August and it’s Airdrie at home before the return of Davie Hay on 30th August.
The former Pars manager brings his Livingston team east before the international break.
November could give an indication of how the season is going to go with fancied teams such as St Johnstone and Dundee at East End.
Fans will be faced with a wintry 300-mile plus return journey to Dingwall when the Pars travel to Ross County on 6th December.
But the festive fixtures have been kind with home Saturday games on 20th and 27th December against Clyde and Livi respectively before a trip to Dundee on 3rd January.
The last four matches throw up two long road trips.
After St Johnstone at home on 11th April, the Pars are off to Dingwall again on 18th April and Dumfries on 2nd May to play Queens. The season finishes a week later, on 9th May, at home to Clyde.
