DUNFERMLINE’S Spartans came on leaps and bounds when they welcomed a group of female Czech gymnasts.

The visitors, from the city of Chomutov, teamed up with their hosts for some stunning displays and routines.

Spartans president Scott Taylor said, “Everyone had a great time and both sets of kids got on very well. The Czechs had interpreters with them but language didn’t really prove a barrier when they were doing gymnastics.

“We also took them for a tour of Dunfermline and a meal. We had a disco night too and language never proved a barrier on the dancefloor either!”

The Czech girls specialise in rhythmic and dance gymnastics while Spartans, consisting mainly of boys, specialise in vault and trampet.

Anyone interested in joining can contact club coach Sheila Glover on 728023 who will pass details on to the club secretary.
