A SERIES of fantastic performances by West Fife swimmer Craig Rodgie saw him land an impressive medal haul at the INAS-FID European Swimming Championships.

The event, for swimmers with a learning disability, is being held in Swietokrzyski, Poland and ends tomorrow (Friday).

Craig, a first time international for Team GB, helped his team to gold in the 4x200m freestyle, setting a new world record of 8.44.12.

The same team also took gold in the 4x100m relay against swimmers from all over Europe.

Craig completed his impressive medal coup with a bronze in the 100m backstroke.

Craig is a member of the Disability Sport Fife Futures Squad and the Scottish Disability Sport National Academy and he also swims for Carnegie Swimming Club.
