Dunfermline to face St Mirren in cup clash
IT will be like a then and now in black and white when the Pars take on St Mirren later this month in the third round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup.
Athletic will face the Paisley side at East End Park on Tuesday 23rd September (kick-off 7.45pm) after beating Alloa 1-0 at home in the last round.
Buddies manager Gus MacPherson will be returning to Dunfermline where he played under Jimmy Calderwood and Jimmy Nicholl from 2001-03.
And he won't be alone. Currently on St Mirren's books are former Pars Gary Mason, Billy Mehmet, John Potter and Jim Hamilton.
For the Pars, Alex Burke will be hoping to line-up against his former team.
Extra time and penalties will take place if the match is drawn after 90 minutes.
