INVERKEITHING High School’s S1 boys’ team made school history at the recent Fife Schools Road Relay Championships at Beveridge Park, Kirkcaldy.

A total of 17 out of the 19 high schools in the Kingdom took part and the Inverkeithing team of Cameron Atwell, Fraser Sutherland and Liam Smith won their event comfortably, leading the race from start to finish.

This is the first time since 2004 that a team from the school has won a trophy at this event and the first time that the S1 boys team have won it.

There was also success for the S1 girls team of Eilidh Mackenzie, Rachel Parr and Chelsea Lawson and the under-15 girls team of Megan Kirk, Kara Bradbeer and Michaela Brown, who both won bronze medals.
