INTERNATIONAL singer songwriter KT Tunstall has proclaimed her recent show at Dunfermline"s Alhambra as her favourite Scottish gig.
The star gushed about both the venue and reception of fans after her sold-out performance in July.
She said, 'We had a very, very good gig at the Alhambra in Dunfermline which is an old bingo hall and it is a really gorgeous space, kind of like a Scottish Shepherd"s Bush Empire with a really good old school feel about it.
"That was a really special one, it was great - they even put up a sign for me saying "Welcome Home KT".'
Bill Fletcher, of the Alhambra, said, 'It was a major milestone to get an artist of her stature here in the first place but to hear her say that is quite incredible.
'We knew it was a special gig because fans on her website forum were saying it was one of her best ever performances.
'We don"t want to turn the Alhambra into another Carling Academy but we"re certainly planning to put on a mini-festival to showcase up and coming bands, perhaps with a big headline act.
'But we want variety here, and hopefully cater to different tastes so it will be the people of Dunfermline"s theatre.'
