THEY might be called The Bootleg Beatles but there's nothing knock-off about the top tribute band set to hit Dunfermline this weekend.

Having sold out concerts across the UK in 2014, the band now have their sights set on the Alhambra Theatre with a show that will delights fans of the Fab Four.

The tour marks the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' last UK tour and the 25th anniversary of The Bootleg Beatles' first – ironically, the tribute band have been around longer than the original, who were together for less than 10 years and during the height of Beatlemania toured for only three years.

Formed from the original cast of London’s West End hit show ‘Beatlemania’, The Bootleg Beatles have become an institution in their own right with their note-perfect recreation of hits from every era of the world’s most famous songbook. Every tiny detail is meticulously covered from costumes to authentic period instruments, from the Liverpudlian banter to their inflection-perfect vocal mimicry, while bearing an uncanny resemblance to the Lennon, McCartney, Harrison and Starr.

The show takes place at 7.30pm on Friday, October 2nd at the Alhambra Theatre. Tickets are £25 plus booking fee and can be bought by calling 01383 740 384
