ONE of the biggest heavy metal bands in the world are getting ready to blow the roof off the Alhambra Theatre this weekend.

Welsh rockers Bullet for My Valentine are heading to Dunfermline in the wake of the release of their fifth album, Venom, as part of their huge UK and European headline tour, playing venues off the beaten track to fans in every corner of the country.

Since forming in 1998 they have sold 10 million albums and toured the globe countless times. Their mix of classic riff-heavy rock with a contemporary grasp of dynamics has gained them fans around the world and now they're ready to bring their eardrum-bursting sound to West Fife.

Describing the new album, front man Matt Tuck said: "It's easily the most aggressive record we've ever done and lyrically it will no doubt touch a nerve with a lot of people that listen to it. I cannot express enough how proud I am of it, and can't wait for everyone out there to hear it too. We've reinvented who we are and are ready to take on the world once more.”

Bullet for My Valentine will be performing at the Alhambra Theatre at 7pm on Sunday, October 11. Tickets cost £21.50 and are available at the box office on 01383 740 384.
