KT Tunstall has announced she will be coming back 'home' to play a gig in Dunfermline.

The Fifer, who grew up in St Andrews but now lives in Los Angeles, will return to the Alhambra Theatre on Friday October 28.

She has played the venue in 2008, which she later described as her "favourite gig", and again in 2011.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday June 24 and KT's date with Dunfermline is part of a 13-date UK tour.

The international singer-songwriter is set for a busy summer with a new EP, called 'Golden State', out now, while she will play at Glastonbury, tour the north of Scotland in August and release a new full-length album in September.

It's a record that KT sees "in spirit as the follow-up to her classic debut", the multi-platinum 'Eye to the Telescope' in 2004.

After the stunning debut, and hit songs such as 'Black Horse and the Cherry Tree' and 'Suddenly I See', she went on to release three more critically acclaimed albums.

KT earned Grammy and Mercury Prize nominations, won Brit and Ivor Novello awards and saw her songs used everywhere from opening credits of The Devil Wears Prada to Hillary Clinton’s 2008 campaign theme.
