SINGER and trumpet player Tony Jacobs brings his top class timeless show to Carnegie Hall next Friday (11th October).

'A Swell Party' celebrates the genius of some of the greatest songwriters and performers of all time, from George Gershwin and Fred Astaire to Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong.

The musician returns to one of his favourite theatres for the seventh consecutive year with a new show that brings together some of the UK’s top musicians.

The performance features timeless songs and music including ‘Georgia On My Mind’, ‘There’s No Business Like Show Business’, ‘Someone To Watch Over Me’ and many others.

Band leader Tony was a vocalist with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra. He has worked with numerous high-profile ensembles including the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Pasadena Roof Orchestra and the Piccadilly Dance Orchestra.

He appears alongside pianist Jim Barry, Glasgow-based double bassist Andy Sharkey and local lad Tom Gordon from Dunfermline on drums.

Guitarist Malcolm McFarlane, saxophonist Sue Greenway and special guest vocalist Catherine Sykes complete the line-up.
