WEST FIFE singing sensation Kirsten Adamson will warm up for her UK tour with a hometown performance at PJ Molloys tomorrow night.

The daughter of Big Country legend Stuart is carving a successful career as a talented singer-songwriter in her own right and in November, released her self-titled debut album.

Influenced by both her father's band and Kate Bush, she first picked up a guitar after Stuart relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1998 and was classically trained in voice from a young age.

A diverse singer-songwriter, Kirsten has a love of country music that stayed with her as she made her breakthrough with previous outfit The Gillyflowers, who last played in Dunfermline in 2013.

Calum Miller of PJ Molloys said: "Kirsten is one of the most talented female singers that I've ever heard, and she has been here under various guises. She's going on a UK tour but it is always great to have her perform in her hometown, especially as she's making a name for herself in her own right. She is a really good performer so it should be a great night."

Kirsten will be supported by Concrete Kingdoms, an upcoming local rock band with influences such as Led Zeppelin, Stereophonics and Billy Idol.

They have gone from strength to strength since forming in June 2014 and last month signed a record deal with rising independent label Flat 14 Records.

Tickets, which cost £7, are available on the door which opens from 7pm.
