Add sparkle to your festive season as The Balmoral, Edinburgh’s most prestigious address, and Ruinart, the first established House of Champagne, invite you to celebrate the Christmas countdown in style with its Winter Sessions.

Launched on Friday, December 2 within the elegant surroundings of The Balmoral’s iconic Palm Court, Winter Sessions presents a series of seductive live soundtracks every evening, from 9pm until midnight, until December 20.

Evoking an intimacy and sophistication unique to The Balmoral, a repertoire of modern classics spanning jazz, soul, r&b and pop will be delivered by internationally-renowned artists.

Embrace the enchantment under Palm Court’s magnificent glass dome, exotic palm trees and Venetian chandelier at these late-night rendezvous gatherings.

Ruinart, the first established House of Champagne, complements Winter Sessions with its expression of style and aromatic golden richness, presented from a striking champagne centrepiece within Palm Court. Renowned internationally for its collaborations with the most exceptional artistic talents, Ruinart is an exquisite chilled companion for this special festive occasion.

Singer-songwriter Vhelade launched the event and brought her sweet soul sounds to the sessions through to December 6.

Assuming microphone control from December 8-13 is Aba, whose style originates in the jazz, blues, gospel and soul genres. Powerful yet warm, guests can expect a reinterpretation of classics delivered with gusto.

Completing the Winter Sessions trilogy from December 15-20 is Donna Gardier. Exuding energy and excitement, Donna was a member of Raw Stylus and her incredible voice has been heard to stunning effect working with artists including Sting, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Joey Negro and Incognito.
