DUNFERMLINE actor Matt Robertson is taking on a different role at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year.
After stints in the Alhambra Theatre's annual panto and working with Limelight Theatre, Matt is heading to Scotland's biggest festival for the summer.
He'll be playing the part of the very nice Prince Niceavia in 'Princess Pumpalot: The Farting Princess', which is on at The Assembly Rooms on George Street.
The show follows Princess Pumpalot, a particularly flatulent royal, as she attempts to protect Whiffyville Castle from an invasion of low-flying gnomes.
Based on the top selling children's book by Leven man Robin Mitchell, the show promises to be a giggle for kids and grown-ups alike.
Robin said, "It's all happened so quickly. The book was only published last July and already it's going to be a big show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Who knows where she farts to next."
Princess Pumpalot: The Farting Princess is on at 11am every day from 1st-25th August (not Monday 12th) at The Assembly Rooms.
