BUS passengers escaped unscathed but a van driver suffered a minor injury after two vehicles collided in Dunfermline yesterday.

The incident happened shortly before 4pm on Sanderling Way, at the roundabout near the entrance to Dobbies Garden Centre at Fife Leisure Park. The van overturned after colliding with a Stagecoach number 19 bus in the lead-up to the busy rush-hour period and the male driver suffered a minor injury to his arm. Police confirmed that all the passengers on the bus were fine.

Diversions were put in place while emergency services attended and police worked to clear the road.

A spokesperson for Stagecoach East Scotland said: "Our thoughts are for the well-being of those involved in the incident and we are assisting the police fully with their investigation into the circumstances."
