POLICE are investigating after a large-scale cannabis cultivation worth around £197,000 was recovered in Dunfermline.
Officers carried out a search of an address in Halbeath Road on Friday, November 27, where over 270 plants were discovered inside.
Detectives are now following a positive line of inquiry to identify those responsible for this cultivation. However anyone with information is asked to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Kelly McEwan from West Fife CID said: “This is a huge recovery of cannabis, which has been seized before it could make its way into our communities and we are now actively targeting the individuals who were growing these plants.
“We will continue to act on information relating to drug crime and if you have any information in relation to this cultivation, or any other ongoing criminal activity then contact us on 101 or make an anonymous report through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
