WEST FIFE residents are being urged to take care of their belongings after a series of sneak-in thefts to vehicles in Rosyth and Pitcorthie.
Several cars in Rosyth have been targeted in the evenings over the past few weeks, with the thief trying unlocked doors and stealing property from within.
An incident in Pitcorthie during daylight also saw a woman's bag stolen after she left it in a car that wasn't locked.
Police are appealing for anyone who has seen someone acting suspiciously around cars to get in touch with them on 101, and are cautioning the public to make sure they lock their cars and secure their property, even if they are just leaving the vehicle for a short time.
