A DUNFERMLINE man repeatedly raped and attempted to murder two of his ex-partners.
Stephen White, 25, was convicted at the High Court in Glasgow after subjecting his victims to a catalogue of terrifying crimes.
He was found guilty of sexual and violent offences against three women and one man between 2006 and 2014 in the Dunfermline area.
The offences against the women included rape, attempted murder, indecent assault and assault.
White was also convicted of assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement of his male victim.
Detective Inspector James Leeson said: “The conviction of Stephen White is testament to how seriously we take all reports of sexual offences and to how closely we work with our partners to support victims and bring perpetrators like White to justice.
"It is clear that White represents a risk to women living in Scotland. Victims of domestic abuse often suffer in silence.
"However they should take confidence in outcomes such as this case and be assured that no matter how long ago these crimes are committed, Police Scotland will listen to them and be relentless in our desire to bring offenders to justice.
"I’d like to thank the victims for their courage in coming forward and their assistance throughout the investigation. Although nothing can undo his actions, I hope it provides them and their families with some sense of closure."
