INSTEAD of bells, one Dunfermline wedding was characterised by a very different sound – the roar of 50 motorcycles.
Bikers descended from near and far to see Zak and Michelle Watson, from Crossgates, tie the knot on Saturday afternoon in the town centre.
They said their vows in front of loved ones at Dunfermline City Chambers and this was followed by a reception in their local Royal British Legion branch, complete with a hog roast.
Onlookers were treated to the sight and sound of motorbikes and their colourful riders next to Dunfermline Abbey. For the couple, biking is an important part of their lives – Zak is president of the Blue Angels Fife Motorcycle Club – and it was a fitting way for them to celebrate their big day.
Overall, it was a fantastic occasion for the guests who turned out to see Zak, 31, and Michelle, 33 – who are both regulars at motorbike rallies – get married.
