POLICE seized heroin worth £40,000 in a High Valleyfield drugs raid following tip-offs from the public.
As part of what was described as "intelligence-led enforcement activity", officers raided a property in Burns Street, High Valleyfield, on Wednesday where heroin worth £40,000 was recovered from within.
A 46-year-old man appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court yesterday (Thursday).
In a separate operation, another address in Abel Place, Dunfermline, was also searched on Wednesday where police seized class C drugs worth £680.
A 20-year-old man and 18-year-old woman will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for being concerned in the supply of drugs and will appear in court at a later date.
Sergeant Kathryn Fairfield, from Dunfermline Police Station, said: “Because of the intelligence we received from our communities within Dunfermline and High Valleyfield, we were able to execute two search warrants and recover sizable quantities of heroin.
“This demonstrates our commitment to remove drugs from our communities. We will continue to proactively disrupt the supply of drugs across West Fife and if you have any information relating to ongoing drug crime in your area then please contact Police Scotland on 101 or make an anonymous report to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
