A YOUNG pupil from Carnock Primary School is leading by example when it comes to tackling racism after beating nearly 1,000 youngsters to a national competition.
Bethan Gibbon was picked as the winner in the Primary 6/7 category for Show Racism the Red Card’s national anti-racism campaign by designing a fantastic poster with a message about welcoming immigrants.
The youngster was invited to an awards ceremony at Hampden Park with her parents and sister, where she was presented with match tickets for a Partick Thistle home game and season tickets for Glasgow City by Sky Sports’ David Tanner, Scotland women’s national team coach Anna Signeul and Police Scotland’s Stephen Canale.
