WITHIN the last few minutes, Fife Council have issued an alert to homeowners that bin collections are facing disruption this morning.
The alert reads: "Due to vehicle breakdowns, we are experiencing delays in emptying some bins.
"If your bin has not been emptied by 9pm on collection day and it hasn’t been tagged, then please leave it out and we will get to it as quickly as we can.
"We apologise for any inconvenience and we'll prioritise those missed bins for collection as early as possible the next day."
