FIFE COUNCIL have issued another update over delays to bin collections.
The authority warned that collections would be delayed after vehicle breakdowns a week ago.
But now "staffing issues" have also been blamed for bins not being lifted in addition to vehicle problems.
The latest update, released earlier today (Tuesday), reads: "Due to staffing issues and vehicle breakdowns we are experiencing delays in emptying some bins.
"If your bin has not been emptied, and is not tagged, please leave your bin out and we'll prioritise those missed bins for collection as early as possible the next day.
"If you have booked a special uplift, you may also experience a delay with this service. Please leave your items on the kerbside and we'll uplift them as soon as possible.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
