FIFE COUNCIL say that staffing issues have prevented bin collections from returning to normal.
The authority released another statement yesterday (Wednesday) advising householders whose bins have not yet been lifted.
It said: "Due to staffing issues we are experiencing delays in emptying some bins. Although we have reduced the number of bins that have not been collected we have not yet been able to return to normal service.
"If your bin has not been emptied on your scheduled day then please leave your bin on the kerbside for collection and we will empty this as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience that this causes."
It comes two weeks after the council blamed vehicle breakdowns for delays in bins being lifted.
