Three cars collided on the A985 on Friday evening causing lengthy delays for drivers during peak hours.

No one was injured in the collision which took place at around 5pm at the Dunfermline B1956 junction.

The crash resulted in delays of more than 30 minutes heading in both directions.

Emergency services were called to the accident and had the scene cleared by approximately 6:30pm.

The road was partially blocked with a diversion through Limekilns Road in place for drivers heading towards Cairneyhill and the Kincardine Bridge.
