A ROSYTH restaurant was runner-up in a competition celebrating culinary diversity.

The Taste of India was recognised for its impressive food and service in the annual Tiffin Cup.

MPs across the UK nominate a restaurant in their constituency serving South Asian food.

Douglas Chapman MP selected the popular eatery which was then selected for the final after a secret visit from competition judges.

Owner Abdul Motin said: "We are honoured to be recognised as one of the best restaurants serving South Asian cuisine in the UK.

"It's testament to the team-spirit of our hardworking staff and chef Aryal Pitambar who have helped create a place where customers keep coming back."

Mr Chapman congratulated staff and presented Mr Motin and the team with a certificate and special Tiffin Cup apron.
