TAKE a tour of Scotland’s greatest scenery and outdoor experiences – all from the comfort of your own chair in Dunfermline.

That's the offer from the BBC's Mark Stephen, the voice of Radio Scotland’s Out of Doors programme, when he comes to town next week.

He's giving the first in a new season of Royal Scottish Geographical Society talks at Dunfermline High School on Wednesday, October 5.

In 'Scotland's Great Outdoors', Mark will tell us about the wee bird that changed the face of Scotland, why history really dictates who benefits from our land and why numbers matter in the 21st century.

Dunfermline RSGS chairman, Alister Hendrie, said: “Dunfermline RSGS are thoroughly looking forward to hearing Mark Stephen's unique perspective on Scotland's outdoors.

"It will also be great to be able to put a face to a voice so many of us have become accustomed to hearing practically every Saturday morning on BBC Radio Scotland."

Mark, who is set to receive a fellowship of RSGS, will start his talk at 7.30pm.

The talks are open to all and free for RSGS members, students and under-18s.

Tiso Outdoor Experience cardholders can purchase discounted tickets for £8 and non-members can purchase tickets for £10.
