The man who served Corrie McKeague his takeaway before he disappeared may have been the last person to speak to him.

RAF gunner Corrie, from Dunfermline, disappeared in Bury St Edmunds after a night out with friends on Saturday, September 24.

The 23-year-old was last seen on CCTV walking down Brentgovel Street with a takeaway around 3.20am.

Corrie became a regular of Pizza Mama Mia after popping in after nights out and was well known to Abdulkadir Tekagac who works at the takeaway.

He said: "I probably saw Corrie in the shop about once a week. He was a regular so I got to know his face and would have a chat with him.

"There was nothing unusual about him when he came to get his kebab. He just popped in got his food and left straight away.

"I can't be sure but I could have been the last person to speak to him. We are all very worried about him at the shop."

The takeaway's CCTV is one of the many hours of video tape that the police have been searching through but no footage has given many leads so far.

Police have said despite a number of individuals making contact, from CCTV it is clear there are still a large number of people who were in the area at the relevant time who have not yet got in touch with police.

Temporary Superintendent Kim Warner said: "We are taking time to do the searches and to go through hundreds of hours of CCTV from town, business and individual sources.

"We know from CCTV that there are still a number of people who were in the area of Brentgovel Street, Short Brackland and the town centre around and after the crucial 3.20am time on Saturday 24 September who have still not come forward to police and we would urge them to get in touch.

"You may think that didn’t see anything that will help, but your account could hold clues to what has happened and may be important in piecing this all together."

Yesterday, British Transport Police joined efforts by searching along the railway line from Bury St Edmunds.

Police are continuing to appeal for three young people seen at Short Brackland around 4.20am on Saturday 24 September to come forward. The three are all said to be aged between around 16 to 18,
