PINK was the colour for Dunfermline and West Fife MP Douglas Chapman as he pledged his support to the battle against breast cancer.

Mr Chapman is supporting women affected by the illness by encouraging constituents to take part in the UK's biggest, brightest and pinkest fundraiser, Wear It Pink, tomorrow (Friday).

It calls on supporters to add a flash of pink to their wardrobe for the day and raise money for Breast CancerNow's life-saving research.

Joining fellow parliamentarians in wearing it pink in Westminster, Mr Chapman said: "Breast Cancer Now are tackling the disease from all angles to ensure that, by 2050, everyone that develops the disease will live. But we all need to join forces and act now, and in wear it pink there is a fun and simple way for everyone to get involved.

I’m committed to standing up for the women and families affected by the disease in Dunfermline & West Fife and I am very proud to take part in Wear It Pink. I hope our community will join me by wearing pink on Friday and show their support for Breast Cancer Now."
