LITTLE Shop of Heroes in Dunfermline is holding a free comic day and a zombie walk for Hallowe’en.

Several hundred people are expected to gather for a full-day of spooky fun on Saturday October 29, with the “undead” set to hit the streets in the afternoon.

An array of zombies will shuffle along High Street and into the Kingsgate Centre for the second year in a row.

Alby Grainger, who owns the Little Shop of Heroes in Maygate, said: “You can wear whatever you fancy as long as you zombify it a little. We already have zombie Captain America and zombie Eddie the Eagle.

“All zombies are invited be they Romero or Boyle in speed. Animal vegetable or mineral. Superhero zombies, animé zombies, animal zombies, the more fousty the better!

"I think this year will be even more successful than last. Small independent comic stores across the world are taking part in this and we’ll have more and more people as time goes by. It’s all about having a good laugh.”

From 10am at Little Shop of Heroes, free comic books will be issued throughout the day, and the zombie walk starts at 12.30pm from the town clock.

There will be a panel to rate the best costume and Alby said: “The zombie judged best on the day will receive a £100 Little Shop Of Heroes Gift Scroll.”
