Police are investigating a series of Ford Transit van thefts that occurred overnight between Friday 25th and Saturday 26th November.
Transit vans were targeted in Dunfermline where a number of high value tools were stolen.
Five vans were broken into on Blair Drive, Kennedy Crescent, Burns Street, Ladysmill Court and Priory lane, with some streets being adjacent to each other.
Sergeant Thomas Clague of Dunfermline Police Station, said: "It has been a long time since there has been a spate of thefts like this in one night.
"We would appeal to anyone who was in these areas at that time to report any suspicious activity."
Earlier this year in May, Ford Transit vans were also targeted by thieves taking tools across West Fife.
The culprits were suspected to have gained entry to the secured vans by means of a device that can override the locking mechanisms, without causing damage.
Police are advising owners of similar vehicles to park in a well-lit area and remove all property, including tools and Sat Navs by storing them in the indoors overnight.
Also making sure vans are properly locked.
