Gale-force winds are set to hit West Fife on Friday with winds of up to 90 mph threatening Christmas travel plans.
Storm Barbara will strike much of the UK on what is expected to be the busiest day to travel.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for wind in Fife as blustery showers begin on Wednesday and Thursday.
Very strong south westerly winds will develop on Friday and speeds of up to 90 mph are likely across parts of western Scotland.
Winds will continue overnight into Saturday but will calm by Saturday morning.
Watch out for potential structural damage as you travel, as well as disruption to power supplies and travel.
Restrictions on bridges and disruption to ferries will also be expected.
