A fake website that has been trying to profit from the disappearance of Corrie McKeague has been reported to the police and shut down.
The uncle of the Dunfermline serviceman said the scammer was 'beneath contempt'.
Writing on the Find Corrie Facebook page, Mr Wringe said: “Unfortunately there will always be those who seek to profit from other people’s pain and suffering.
"A fraudulent website and JustGiving page have been set up."
The fake website set up used the domain name corriemckeague.com but the correct site is findcorrie.co.uk.
Tony continued: "They have also set up a just giving page, presumably with the intent of keeping the money for themselves.
"I’m sure we all agree they are beneath contempt."
The real fundraising page set up by Cheryl Hickman, has raised more than £40,000 for this cause and thousands of people have donated.
West Yorkshire Police have confirmed that the bogus website has been reported but officers are yet to investigate it.
Anyone looking to donate to funds going to the the search should make sure that only use these two websites, findcorrie.co.uk and https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/helpfindcorrie.
23-year-old Corrie went missing in Bury St Edmunds over 12 weeks ago and there has been no trace of him since.
