Mobile phone giants want to build new mast in Limekilns
MOBILE phone giants 02 and Vodafone want to install a telephone mast in Limekilns to increase mobile coverage.
If permission is granted, the apparatus will be built just before you enter the village on the south side of Dunfermline Road.
The current site is a roadside verge and the mast will take up 1,000 square metres.
The project is a joint venture between O2 (Telefonica UK) and Vodafone.
Telefonica UK said as part of a continued network improvement programme there was a specific requirement to built a new radio-based station at this location to provide increased network connectivity, including 2G, 3G and 4G in Limekilns.
