LESS than a week after his latest arrest a 17-year-old boy has landed himself in custody again.

A Sheriff at Dunfermline Sheriff Court told Cameron McCann that he was on his last chance before granting him bail but was arrested for possession of a knife.

The crown opposed bail.

McCann, 17, of Paul Street, Lochgelly, plead not guilty to the following charges, on February 21,whilst in a police vehicle to Dunfermline, he behaved in a threatening manner, and whilst in possession of a knife did shout and swear, make threats of violence and threaten to kill a police officer. This was whilst receiving bail on May 3, January 19 and February 16.

Depute fiscal, Dev Kapadia, said that whilst in possession of a 12 inch kitchen knife in a public place, McCann had threatened to kill.

"The accused has complete disregard for the Court and clearly believes he is above the law," he said.

Defence solicitor, Elaine Buist, said her client had spent his recent 17th birthday in jail.

"There has been a long running difficulty with his neighbours and they knew that he was in trouble and feels they want to stir things up," she said.

Sheriff Craig Mcsherry told McCann: "You are on three deferred sentences and there is another outstanding matter.

"It has been less than a week since you were warned so I have no hesitation in refusing you bail."

McCann was remanded in custody.
