The A907 Bogside will closing overnight for one week to carry out £97,000 of resurfacing works.

In a bid to improve the road network in West Fife, Fife Council will start work on March 19 between Violet Bank and Bogside Farm.

To minimise disruption works will be carried out from 7pm to 6am and a diversion route will be in place.

Access for emergency services and residents will be maintained.

David Brown, Service Manager for Network Management said: “We maintain over 2,400 km of roads in Fife and we are investing nearly £10 million this year repairing and improving them.

“Our road network is vital to support economic development, inward investment, tourism, leisure and travel to work. Almost everyone in Fife uses our roads on a daily basis, which is why this type of maintenance work is so essential.

“We apologise for any inconvenience and delay caused by these essential works, and we will try to keep any disturbance to a minimum. Your patience and co-operation during this time is greatly appreciated.”
