A DALGETY BAY teenager has been caught drink-driving twice within three weeks and could lose his car.

On the second occasion, Cieran Smart, 19, of Wayfarers Drive, was almost five times over the limit.

Appearing from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, he admitted a string of recent offences.

Smart pleaded guilty to, on February 25 in Harbour Drive and Wayfarers Drive, Dalgety Bay, he drove a car with excess alcohol, 62 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 22 mgs.

And he admitted that, on March 18 at Hillwood Terrace, Rosyth, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing, uttering offensive remarks, repeatedly punched doors and windows and struck windows with his head.

On the same day, he drove in Hillwood Terrace and Admiralty Road, Rosyth, having consumed excess alcohol.

His reading this time was 106 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

Sheriff Robert Dickson called for reports and imposed an interim driving ban.

Smart will return to court for sentencing on April 19. The Crown is seeking the seizure of the car.
