A SET of 12 Glass Magic Lantern slides of the Forth Bridge are to go under the hammer at auction.
A private collection of railway memorabilia is to be auctioned off at Tennants auctioneers, including the slides by G. W. Wilson which depict schematics and photographs of the bridge's construction as work got underway in 1882.
The rare pictures of the ironwork and caisson supports are being sold with an estimate of £500-700.
They will be sold at Tennants auctioneers on Wednesday, April 5 at their North Yorkshire auction centre.
