A man travelling on a train from Edinburgh Waverley to Perth was removed from the service by police after reports of sexual harassment towards a female passenger.
At around 9.53pm on Good Friday (April 14) a man boarded a ScotRail service at Edinburgh and took a seat in first class near a woman.
During the journey the man made sexually inappropriate comments to the female passenger and attempted to kiss her.
Another passenger sent a text message to the British Transport Police and officers were able to meet the service at Haymarket station where the man was removed.
Police are appealing for witnesses to assist them with their investigation and are asking for those on board to get in touch if they witnessed a man acting in an unusual manner towards a woman.
